How do I claim Technoraty my blog?
Step 1 Navigate to Technorati.com in your Web browser. Click "Join" next to the search field at the top of the page. This brings you to a new page titled "Technorati Profile."
Step 2 Type your contact details, including your real name, desired Technorati screen name and password and email address. Type the characters displayed in the CAPTCHA image, and then click the check box to signify that you agree to Technorati's membership terms. Click the "Join" button.
Step 3 Check the email address that you supplied when creating your Technorati account, and you will see a message with the subject "Welcome to Technorati." Click the link in the message. This returns you to Technorati. The page displays the heading "Account activated." Click the "Sign In" link, and log in with the username and password that you selected. You should now see your Technorati username displayed at the top of the page.
Step 4 Click your Technorati username, and then scroll to the "My Claimed Blogs" section near the bottom of the next page. Click the "Claim" button. The next page has the title "Claim a new blog."
Step 5 Enter the title, main URL, feed URL and the URLs of other blogs that link to yours. Enter the URL of your blog in the format "http://www.myblog.com." The feed URL usually has a format such as "http://www.myblog.com/rss."
Step 6 Enter general information about your blog in the "Site Description" field. This is the information that people will see when viewing your blog's profile on Technorati. The field has room for up to 1,000 characters.
Step 7 Check up to three boxes under the "Site Categories" heading to categorize your blog.
Step 8 Enter keywords and keyword phrases in the fields under the "Site Tags" heading to specify search terms that people might use when searching for a blog with the information that yours provides. Click the "Proceed to the next step" button. This brings you to a new page titled "Blog Claim Status."
Step 9 Check your email account again. You should have a new message from Technorati with the title "Technorati claim in progress." The message includes a "claim token" -- a random alphanumeric string. Click and drag with the mouse pointer to highlight the claim token, and then press "Ctrl+C" to copy it to the Windows clipboard.
Step 10 Log in to your blog and create a new post. Click the body section of the post, and press "Ctrl+V" to paste the Technorati claim token. Publish the new post. Although people who visit your blog will be able to see the post for a short time, you can delete it when the Technorati claim process is complete.
Step 11 Return to Technorati. Log in again and click your username. Click the "Check Claim" button under "My Claimed Blogs" near the bottom of the page.
Step 12 Click "Verify Claim Token." The page now displays the message "We are evaluating your claim." Step 13 Return to your Technorati account page after some time. Click the "Check Claim" button. If the page displays a message notifying you that the claim token has been found on your blog, you can delete the post. It may take several more days before Technorati adds your blog to its directory.
